Current Projects

The New Providence Water Development Company is committed to improving the quality of the product we provide to our customers. With that in mind we are currently in the process of completing major upgrades to our facilities. Construction has almost completed on a 1.3 million gallon per day seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination facility.  This will supply potable water to all residents within the service area.

In addition to the SWRO project, over the past few months we have replaced a large portion of our distribution networks removing all cast iron and galvanized pipework from our system. The intention of this upgrade has been to remove areas prone to damaged pipes as well as remove the opportunity for corrosion in the long term.  This will greatly reduce the amount of time that customers will experience no water situations in their homes and businesses.
