New Connection Procedure
- Customer applies for private water connection at NPWD office. Required documents:
- New Water Application Form (download form as PDF)
- Proof of ownership (signed final page of conveyance document)
- Two forms of government ID
- Rental properties require connection to be in owner’s name. A letter may then be submitted from the owner indicating that tenant may also pay on the account
- NPWD will contact customer within 10 working days for quotation for connection and deposit required
- After receiving quotation, customer pays
- Water Supply is connected
Upgrade, Relocation, Replacement, and Disconnection of Services
Transfer of Account
For existing supplies, the following procedure applies:
- Application for transfer of account is made including date at which charges will be transferred to new owner
- Account is settled with previous owner
- Documents required from new owner:
- Contact details
- Proof of new ownership (signed final page of conveyance document)
- Two forms of government ID
A transfer fee of $75 is paid as well as deposit for the property.
Complaints Procedure
Customers have the right to complain about any dissatisfaction in service received from New Providence Water Development Co.
Complaints may be registered:
- In person – Customers can register their complaints at the company’s Old Fort Bay Offices
- By Telephone – Customers may register their complaints by calling the company’s offices at 362-4177
- In Writing – Customers may register their complaints writing via P.O. Box N-4820
